Memorial Event at Welland Park.
Our 2nd annual event remembering club colleague Simon Poynton. All groups gathering in the park to run a “handicapped” race of 3k using the junior parkrun course. Everyone gets a chance to win as start times are determined by recent times over 5k and/or the recent club relay event. As well as being a great evening where we all run together as a club celebrating Simon's philosophy of “make running fun”, you get a 3k time to use as a benchmark for your autumn training.
If you cant run that evening you can help out with marshalling, timekeeping etc by signing up on the volunteer session for the night
