Pace of bursts can increase as distance decreases depending on individual fitness levels. “Float” recovery = easy run pace (rather than jog) but can be adapted to suit individual requirements and heat conditions.
This is a continuous run with pace change. The purpose is to increase aerobic capacity and improve the rate of acid clearance produced by the lactate energy system .
Recovery and some flying 20s to focus on speed at the end.
