New members are always welcome. Please complete the registration form (links below) or contact a member of the committee for further info. Our club website provides further details on joining the club and what you can expect when you come to train with us.
Junior members (age 8–14) meet on Mondays at 6:00pm at Market Harborough Rugby Union Football Club (April- September) and Harborough Leisure Centre (October – March).
Senior and junior (age 14-18) members meet on Tuesdays at 6.45pm at Market Harborough Rugby Union Football Club. There are a number of groups to suit a wide range of abilities, fitness levels and competitive goals. All groups are led by a qualified coach.
The above times are only a guide and athletes are encouraged to move between groups to improve their running.
All members agree to follow the relevant UKA/EA Codes of Conduct that apply to their membership. See here for further details.
Under EA rules this package allows the member when in the UK to train with the Harborough Athletic Club and compete as a first claim member of the club, even if they are a first claim member of another club abroad which is outside the jurisdiction of UK or England Athletics federations.
Such a member cannot serve on the Management Committee or vote at an AGM or EGM.
Junior Athletes membership entitles members to train with and compete for Harborough Athletic Club. Membership for 11+ includes registration with England Athletics entitling the member to compete in all events governed by the national body such as track and field, cross country, and road racing. Junior membership should only be taken out once the junior athlete has completed the junior introduction form; https://harboroughac.co.uk/junior-introduction-form/ and completed the two free taster sessions.
Members receive benefits such as training led by qualified coaches, discounts at local sports shops, offers through England Athletics and participation in social events run by the club. Junior Athletes aged 14-18 can attend and vote at the Club’s Annual General Meeting and stand for election to the club Committee which makes decisions on how the club is run.
A 50% reduction in the full subscription rate is available in the case of financial hardship/long term unemployment. Please contact the club Membership Secretary confidentially for further information.
Students in full time education aged 18+ are eligible to register as junior athletes and pay the junior membership fee.
Senior Athletes and Masters membership entitles members to train with and compete for Harborough Athletic Club. Membership includes registration with England Athletics entitling the member to compete in all local, regional, national and, if selected, international events and championships on the road, cross country and track and field.
Members receive benefits such as training led by qualified coaches, discounts at local sports shops, offers through England Athletics and participation in social events run by the club. Members are entitled to attend and vote at the club’s Annual General Meeting and stand for election to the managing Committee. They may volunteer to help officiate at events and competitions and may be supported by the club to gain qualifications as athletics official and/or coach.
