Congratulations to Grace, who competed in her first track events at the Kettering Harriers Open Meeting on Saturday 17th April along with 7 other athletes from the club.
She achieved a very commendable 2nd place in the U11s 75 metres with a time of 13:08 and followed this with 3rd place in the U11s 150 metres in a time of 28:18.
Since joining the club in February 2019, Grace has worked hard at the Monday evening training sessions and is a positive influence on her fellow runners. She loves all sports and also enjoys playing football on Saturdays.
Well done to Bob particularly for his strong performance at the Battle of Brampton Valley Way 28-mile ultra on 18th April, where he was the first club finisher in 17th place in an impressive 3:39:35.
Also back in March Bob managed to complete the Coggins Challenge of running 4 miles every four hours in two days – and even added the extra 4 miles on to make it two marathon distances over the weekend.
A keen advocate of barefoot and minimalist running, at the time of typing Bob has been running for a staggering 554 consecutive days.
